Understanding the Difference Between Defence issued qualifications and Nationally recognised qualifications

When you discharge from the ADF, you will receive ‘civilian accreditation’ for ADF training that you have completed during your Service career. For all the qualifications or statements of attainment towards a qualification that you will receive, see Defence Qualifications.

You need to be aware that your Defence issued qualification may be a Defence specific qualifications and not a Nationally Recognised Qualification – there is a difference.  Your Defence specific qualification code will begin with 5 numerals and not a 3 letter code.   CIDARA can assist you with understanding ’the code’  and how to RPL to achieve Nationally Recognised qualifications.
